Stardew Valley Any Reason To Keep Animals In A Fence?

Fences. Simply I'm more about the looks of my farm, not just the payout.

It could exist useful to detect easily the truffles your pigs dig up, or to give a more divers look to your farm. Otherwise information technology's not needed, and since they become damaged with fourth dimension it'south kind of a hurting to rebuild them. :brownchicken:

I skip the fences, they are mostly for looks and the depression level ones autumn autonomously fast. The hardwood ones last the longest. The only thing I fence in is grass patches and so my animals only graze in 1 fenced area or the other so that they don't exhaust the grass so fast.

Fences are not neccessary. Just also your cows will never become happy so yous will never become "big milk" from them merely always the normal one only. Chickens don't demand a fence.

Not truthful. I take no fences and get large milk from my cows and goats all the time. All ya gotta practise is pet them long enough to go their hearts up, maybe. I've also had animals be "happy" with no fences...although about of the fourth dimension they're "fine."

Fences are not necessary at all, imo. Purely for looks and keeping easier track of them, plus keeping them from wandering into your fields and getting in your way physically. :)

I accept fences because I like how they wait. Nonetheless, I have a bunch of gates and enjoy opening them every day. :P I guess that's why I never get to the mines because I am playing with the danged gates.

I just put the fences effectually my crop area to go on them from getting in the way. It annoys the hell out of me when I am trying to harvest and I go along having to scream "Move Craven yous're in my fashion!"

lol - aye, that's the main downside to no fences that I've noticed. Doesn't happen to me too oft however - I don't have too many animals. If I had multiple full barns/coops and the like I'd probably debate off a large area for them, split up from crop area.

I use stone wall fences in the early game. When those begin to suspension downwardly, or during the wintertime, I replace the stone walls with indestructible items like kegs, furnaces or obsolete quality sprinklers after I've obtained iridium sprinklers.

I've also tried to utilize copse equally a argue once, information technology took style as well long and as well much endeavour to gear up. I wouldn't recommend it. If yous do ever attempt it, I'd say articulate away the grown trees and go out the tree stumps rather than try to go a tap farm going with your tree-fence.

Sapling-walls (not seedlings) are good substitutes for fences. You don't need them fully grown for them to have a striking-box.

Practise fencing with simply gates work? And get out a functional i.

I just use fences because I don't desire to run effectually my entire farm to find my animals. Likewise my barn/coop is shut to where I plant my crops and although animals don't harm them it was really annoying having them hang around there when I had to water/institute stuff.

The fences are a pain, though. The detoriation charge per unit is annoying. I finally upgraded to hardwood fences which are plain the strongest and oasis't had to gear up them notwithstanding.

I put fences so my animals have somewhere to roam merely they aren't all over the farm.
